Stick shapes

Try craft stick shapes. How? Set a pile of craft sticks in front of you and your child. Arrange a few of the sticks in a simple shape such as a triangle. Let your young child lay sticks on top of the design you create. Then, encourage your child to use additional sticks to try to copy the shape. Continue the game by making other shapes such as a square, a rectangle, a diamond, or a house-shape. Older children can create a shape on their own or you can copy the design they create.
