Below is a list of fun things to try and practice:
- Practice dressing/undressing myself.
- Encourage me to clean up after I play.
- Let me make my own choices (Should I eat pears or peaches?).
- Practice using scissors and glue.
- Practice sharing and cooperating.
- Practice waiting my turn.
- Read to me, sing songs and have a conversation with me, then read again.
- Ask me to predict what happens next in a story.
- Teach me nursery rhymes—they help with later reading and sounds.
- Let me ask questions.
- Let me answer your questions; help me understand.
- Let me count everything and show me numerals.
- Practice counting to 10 or higher if I can.
- Tell me about science things, nature, weather, environments, animals, and more.

- Help me recognize and spell my name (first and last).

- Ensure I get a good night’s sleep almost every night.
- Let me play and use my imagination (some toys should not be electronic).

There are many more things you and your child can do together. Try to be a good role model by loving your child, talking with him/her, and teaching him/her new words.
