Virginia Beach Parks and Recreation is pleased to announce a system that will speed entry to the city’s skate park facilities. If your child frequents the Mount Trashmore or Woodstock Park Skate Parks, they can sign up for a free skate park pass. Upon entrance, they should provide their pass to the park attendant. In return, they’ll receive a free wristband, which is required to enter the skate park. The pass enables access to both skate parks.
Apply for the skate park pass at either of our two skate facilities:
- Mount Trashmore Park, located at 310 Edwin Drive, off Independence Boulevard; and
- Woodstock Park, located at 5709 Providence Road, near Indian River Road.
The skate park pass is free. A parent or guardian must complete and sign the skate park pass application for visitors under age 18. Parents/guardians will be contacted to verify information.
Both skateboarding facilities are free and open to the public, and operate from 8 a.m. until a half-hour prior to the park’s posted closing time. Industry standard helmets are required. Use of other protective equipment (such as pads) is strongly recommended.
