Six-Month-Old Immunizations
Make sure your child receives the following vaccinations: DTAP, IPV (polio), Hib, Rotavirus, and Hepatitis B.

The DTAP vaccine protects your child from respiratory disease (whooping cough) caused by bacteria which can lead to airway obstruction, coma and death if not treated.

The IPV vaccine protects your child from polio, a viral disease that can affect the nervous system causing paralysis, permanent disability or even death.

The Hib vaccine protects your child from a severe bacterial infection that can lead to meningitis, death and permanent brain damage.

The PCV7 vaccine protects your child from pneumococcal disease that causes ear and lung infections, brain damage, hearing loss, learning disabilities and death.

The Rotavirus vaccine protects your child from a virus that causes severe diarrhea, dehydration, electrolyte imbalance and death.

The Hepatitis B vaccine protects your child from liver cancer or cirrhosis (scarring of the liver) caused by the Hepatitis B virus.
