- Maternal Child Outreach, Intake and Referral
Public health nurses provide education, support and referral services to pregnant women, women with infants and families with children up to age five. Nurses also assist families with identifying and using community resources.
- First Steps and Parent Support
Nurses and trained volunteers provide information and support by telephone to families during pregnancy and after birth until the baby is three months of age.
- Healthy Start
Home-based family support services for expectant and first time parents. Staff assist new parents to identify learning needs and make referrals to appropriate community resources. Individualized parenting education, support and nursing consultation provided.
- Playgroup
For babies up to 12 months old and their parents. Playgroup provides time for play, sharing of information, and an opportunity to socialize with other parents.
