Services for Children with Disabilities

Infant & Toddler Connection of Virginia Beach/Virginia Beach Infant Program
The program offers Early Intervention services and supports for children who are not developing as expected or who have a medical condition that could delay normal development. These services are available to eligible infants and toddlers up to three years of age. Children referred for services receive an interdisciplinary assessment to determine eligibility. Services available to eligible children and families include; but are not limited to, service coordination, speech, physical, and/or occupational therapy, and educational services. Additionally, the program offers parent support groups, center based classes, and community based group activities for eligible children.  For more information, call (757) 385-4400.

Children's Hospital of the King's Daughters (CHKD)
Developmental Pediatrics. Evaluation for children with special needs, including mental retardation, ADHD, autism, learning disabilities, speech/language problems, cerebral palsy and Downs Syndrome.  For more information, call (757) 668-7500.
